8 Weeks...and Amazing!
I went in for my first ultrasound, and it was amazing! I got to see the baby's heart beating, which looked like a really fast fluttering (169 bpm) AND the baby's head actually moved! I couldn't believe it.
The sight of Lil Bit on-screen (when the wand was up you-know-where) made the pregnancy more real in a way that is sweeter and more heartwarming than the other real symptoms I have had--extreme fatigue, nausea, headaches, etc.
Lil Bit looked like the dense center of a kidney bean. I wish I could have also gotten a recording of the heartbeat and the head movement to take with me. I left with the memory of it and a couple of still pictures.
